About Kat McGee

Kat’s uplifting and eclectic approach to mental and emotional well-being is heart centered, steeped in direct experience and instantly effective.  Her ability to meet you exactly where you are with complete acceptance and to relate ancient and modern philosophical and psychological concepts in an immediately applicable way is the pinnacle of what makes her technique so powerful. She holds transformative space for people from multi-faceted backgrounds; the corporate and celebrity arenas, and adults of all ages. 

Her training has been influenced by a number of Master Teachers in Eastern Philosophy, Dharma, Buddhism and the Yoga Tradition.  Her teachers include: John Kabat-Zinn, Tara Brach, Erich Schiffmann, Leslie Kaminoff, Judith Hansen Lasater and Paul Grilley. 

She also credits Krishnamurti with deeply impacting her personal philosophy and teaching approach.

In 2012, she spent six months living and studying in India. While there she completed her 500 hour YTC under the guidance of Swami Vishveketu.  That training included certification in Yogic Lifestyle Coaching.  Additionally she studied MBSR in the method of John Kabat-Zinn.  Most recently, as part of her continuing education, she completed Tara Brach's Power of Awareness Meditation Program.  She holds certifications in Coaching and Mindfulness Facilitation including: Mindset Coaching and Meditation Facilitation.  Over the last ten years her focus has primarily been an emphasis in Transformational Coaching based in both Eastern and Western psychology.  During this period she developed and trademarked her own coaching method, the Instant Insight Technique®Additionally, as an E-RYT 500 Yoga Instructor she teaches physical styles of Power Flow Yoga, Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga.
